Hatteras By Day
Step 1: Search the entertainment program or event you want by date, venue that sponsors the program, or search a category of events that sounds interesting to you.
Step 2: Get out there and have some fun!
There are so many fun things to do in on the Outer Banks that your task will be to narrow down the options and choose! Almost all the attractions here offer scheduled programs on a daily or weekly basis, and plenty of local businesses add their recurring activities into the mix as well. Then there are special events and entertainment that you will surely not want to miss! You can learn about the history and culture of the area (how did those Wright brothers get that flying contraption off the ground?!), watch demonstrations (do you even know what a breeches buoy is, much less what it was used for?), participate in an interesting class (want to learn to surf or do magic tricks or what the perfect bait for surf fishing is?) or enjoy tours that help you know as much as the locals know.
Step 3: Repeat the above as many times as possible and enjoy yourself!

These are activities that occur on a regular schedule over several weeks or months. Examples: A bird walk that occurs every Monday at 8 a.m. throughout the summer or a yoga class held three times a week all year.
