Features: Waves and Avon both feature great service, clean and comfortable surroundings and a popular menu of well prepared food! Also - free WiFi, a kids menu, vegan options, breakfast sandwiches available all day, and full menu available for take out. I love the Fried Shrimp Wrap. The shrimp are big and the flavors are tasty! This year my husband and I had our first vacation as a married couple. We made it a point to eat lunch at the Waves location on the way into Hatteras and on our way home. We like the service and the food that much!

An Outer Banks vacation requirement for me is a grilled tuna sandwich and this was one of the best I’ve ever had.

I have not been treated like this in years! THE SERVICE! THE FOOD! THE LOCATION! It was a pleasure to come into your place in Avon. Looking forward to coming back in a few months!!

Been camping across Hgwy 12 since the cafe opened and can`t find a better lunch. Tuna burgers are great, breakfast wonderful and ruebens terrific. The whole family always enjoys a stop at the cafe. Cold beer for lunch and good coffee for breakfast.

Delicious - we love the food! (Blueberry muffins are the best!) Great burgers. Best restaurant on the Island!
