You select an item, paint it to your heart’s content, and they’ll fire and glaze it for you to pick up later in the week. The Elegant Attic

The Elegant Attic is an antiques shop housed in an old Buxton cottage that the owner saved from demolition. The shop’s main feature is a spectacular selection of antique stained-glass windows and doors imported from England. You’ll find other antiques as well, including English and domestic furniture. The prices are very reasonable. The shop, which is south of the Buxton post office, is huge and you could easily spend a couple of hours browsing around in here. The owner also has vignettes set up in her house and welcomes folks into her home to see how she uses the windows as décor.

The Fishin’ Hole

In business since the 1970s, The Fishin’ Hole is a full-service tackle shop with live bait (including live eels) and tackle plus brand-name rods and reels.
