Waves Village is the newest Kitty Hawk Kites location! Completed in 2008, it officially opened its doors in February 2009. It is one of seven Kitty Hawk Kites locations with water access. Here, we have a huge selection of kites, toys, t-shirts, Life is good apparel, footwear, jewelry, and so much more. Waves Village Kiteboarding Resort is the premier kiteboarding resort in North America, with 9 luxury condo units on site, and 9 more planned for completion in 2011. Naturally, our kiteboarding resort has the largest selection of kiteboarding gear on the Outer Banks, and quite possibly the best selection in the world. With tons of great brands—Ozone, Cabrinha, HQ, Ocean Rodeo, Dakine, Crazy Fly, Mystic, Nobile, and more—shoppers are given tons of flexibility and choices in their purchases. We do our very best to make our stores welcoming for every customer! Our helpful staff is what makes the difference. Many are experienced kiteboarders who have been in the industry for years. Kiteboarding - Waves Village is home to the Kitty Hawk Kites Kiteboarding Department. All kiteboarding lessons are done out of this location.  There are many reasons this is the number one place in the world to learn to kiteboard.  Our lesson structure is state of the art, and is constantly evolving. Our beginner students typically advance as much in two days as other schools students do in three. And let’s not forget the wind! With average winds of over 12mph each month of the year, there’s more “kiteable” days here than nearly anywhere. And with hundreds of acres of 2-4 foot deep water, most with a soft sandy bottom, kiteboarders of all skill levels can ride with more confidence.

Condos - Waves Village currently has 9 luxury condo units. These 1600 sq. ft units have 3 bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom. All have an unobstructed view of the sound where the sun sets on the horizon. Each unit includes a private deck with furniture, gas grill and hot tub, free Wi-Fi, 4 flat screen HD TV’s, DVD, electric fireplace, linens, and modern decor. Other amenities include elevator access to all floors, community pool, enclosed hot/cold outdoor showers, lockable storage with board racks, on site air pumps, and more.
